Problem

FICO Analytic Cloud (FAC) delivers a comprehensive toolkit of cloud-enabled products, across analytics, decision management, and optimization through FICO Platform, an integrated platform solution in which you can build, deploy, execute, and scale analytic-powered applications.

Their customer-facing and administration portal had long been using the outdated Horizon UI style guide. For years, it relied on legacy colors, fonts, and components. When the new design system, IRIS, launched in 2020, it significantly improved both development and design efficiency. As a result, product teams across FICO began adopting the new system. However, some teams required dedicated design support to successfully redesign their products in alignment with IRIS.

Solution & Impact

Following a successful redesign in 2023, FICO Analytic Cloud portal fully adopted the IRIS Design System, completing the transformation within six months.

Contribution

The redesign of FAC portal marked a significant step forward in aligning legacy products with a modern, cohesive design system. As part of this journey, I was responsible for assessing the existing interface, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing the new design.

Over the course of six months, I collaborated closely with engineers, stakeholders, and product managers to provide design guidance, review builds, and ensuring a smooth transition from outdated aesthetic to a streamlined user-focused design.
